Please join us beginning June 14 - 16 for the 2015 ASPHN Annual Meeting. We will be meeting in the Clayton neighborhood, just west of downtown St. Louis. This area is not only home to a number of Fortune 500 companies, but it is also a thriving cultural center. The Clayton business district has many art galleries, boutiques, fine restaurants, and European-style outdoor cafes.
The 2014 World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals will be playing a home game that weekend. The St. Louis Gateway Arch, a stainless steel monument to America's westward expansion, is a quick ride on the MetroLink light rail. You can stroll through Forest Park, one of the largest urban parks in the country. The Park is home to the Art Museum, Science Center, Zoo, Jewel Box greenhouse, History Museum, the MUNY theatre, a 7.5-mile biking, jogging and skating path, a skating rink and several lakes. Most everything in the park is free.
At the annual meeting, we will hear updates from our federal partners. We will also learn about ASPHN's public health nutrition workforce development projects, funded by CDC. There will be plenty of time to network with colleagues and visit the peer-reviewed poster sessions.
